About ALTEXXANET

ALTEXXANET was started indirectly in the late 90's and early 2000's as part of the Higher Intellect (preterhuman.net) project. Founder Paul Lezica began archiving old documents and software due to concerns that legacy content may disappear from the Internet as it becomes more commercial in nature. Higher Intellect began running a Hotline BBS in 2001 and was a popular destination for users searching for obscure and antique files. While Higher Intellect continues to run a Hotline BBS today, we've created ALTEXXANET to complete the 90's Internet experience by hosting numerous legacy services.

We also collect retro computing hardware such as old Macintosh, PC, Amiga and SGI systems. If you'd like to see more information about our tech museum, please see the Higher Intellect Technology Museum and the Paul's Old Crap video series.

ALTEXXANET is based out of Kelowna BC, Canada. ALTEXXANET uses various Linux/BSD distributions to provide all public access services. If you're interested in donating to ALTEXXANET, please visit this page for more information.
