Hotline Server

The Hotline protocol became popular in the late 90s as a way for users to share files and chat with other users. Hotline used central trackers which listed participating servers and brief descriptions. Clients could connect to these trackers and look for servers which offered what they're looking for.

How do I get started?
You'll need a copy of the Hotline Client software which is available on our downloads page. Once you've opened your client, set a username for yourself in the options and then connect to hotline.altexxanet.org. You should see something like the screenshot shown above. To further explore Hotline, configure your client options to use tracker.preterhuman.net as your tracker and refresh the tracker window.
